Little River National Preserve

You know if we see a place that has national in the title,we will go there.  Little River is one of our favorite spots in this area. It is was near our cabin and it flows for most of its eleven miles atop Lookout Mountain in northeast Alabama. Forests, waterfalls, canyon rims and bluffs, pools, boulders, and sandstone cliffs make gorgeous views in this part of the Southern Appalachians.
 Little River Falls

He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life.

These are called mushroom rocks. There is one in the middle of the road. The story is that it was supposed to be removed, but the road crew refused and built the road around it.

and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
There were a lot of big black birds in this canyon but the guy with the big telephoto need a bigger telephoto lens.
OK, here they are but can you even see them?

Nice pictures. I'm afraid that I have completely given up on photography.
