Family Stuff and Fluff

I had been thinking about this picture of my grandmother and wanted to show it to you. My mother took it with her Brownie that she used for many years.
My mom 1956
When I read Joni's devotional about Johnny Appleseed, I remembered that my mom told me we were related to him. I'm not sure she had any proof, but his last name was Chapman like my grandmother's maiden name. Then I remembered, she also told me my dad  was related to William Savage Pitts who wrote "Church in the Wildwood".  She gave me some information about that and convinced me. I did a scrapbook page and put all that information on there but I can't find it today so I'm not sure if we really have any proof but Jenny said she did not know about this so wanted to let her sisters know, too. If you don't know the song, there are several versions on U tube and you can choose your own performance. It is a real church in Iowa that is still in use.

With all the time off I've had the last 2 weeks, I'm almost caught up with all the grandchildren's books. Here's one I just finished. Yes, I steal pictures from facebook. So beware.

You don't have to steal my pictures. I'll make you a cd.

It took me a while to decipher that a Brownie is a camera.. you should add a picture of one of those. :-)
