I went to visit my friend, Charlsie, this weekend in Ft. Worth. Even after 30 years, this skyline still says "Welcome Home". |
I lived near this street for 35 years and never thought of this before: Beach Street..no beach or water anywhere near it! |
The high school band had 8 tubas today. This is the first time I ever heard a piece of music only for tubas . It actually was very enjoyable. |
I can't resist antique medical equipment. |
Grandbury has one of the prettiest courthouses in Texas |
and a very nice lake. |
One of the hotels has a nice place to walk |
and the city has a nice sand beach. |
I can't imagine how many trucks full of sand were brought in to make this beach. We had the whole thing to ourselves even though it was a beautiful, sunny day. |
We went to the Grandbury Opera House and saw a very cute play. |
Charlsie has known me longer and better than almost everyone and loves me anyway. |
You will not be surprised that we knew all the songs from the play. 1950's r us! |
The road from Abilene to Bronte (277) is one of my favorite Texas Highways. |
